SHP4 Amplifier for Seeburg Jukeboxes
Overview
The SHP4 is a modern amplifier with bluetooth that has been designed to replace any SHP and TSA amplifiers in Seeburg jukeboxes. This amplifier is designed and manufactured by me “Boilerbots”.
Purpose
The SHP4 amplifier provides an easy consumer option to replace missing or failing amplifiers in Seeburg jukeboxes. It is getting harder to source the components for repair and also hard to find people that provide a repair service for the SHP series of amplifiers. Furthermore the weight of the amplifier makes it expensive just to ship around for repairs.

4 output channels, two for the high frequencies and two for low frequencies.

Bluetooth for audio streaming from other music sources such as your mobile phone.

Auto priority for records with auto crossfading between bluetooth and records.

Automatic output signal leveling for records just like the SHP3.

Muting of the phono input just like the SHP3.

Rear volume control and reject module provided, better than the SHP3.

RIAA equalization in the pre-amp. Speaker equalization in the amplifier.

Dynamic bass management.

Bass and Treble Adjustment knobs.

Schematic provided for customer maintenance and repairs.

NEW Remote Kit. Rebuild an existing Seeburg remote and connect it with the SHP4 amplifier.
Compatibility
The SHP4 amplifier has been tested in SMC and USC jukeboxes. It should be compatible with any digital and microprocessor based machine built from 1970 and later. I can supply the mounting brackets for SMC, USC, Topaz and Sunstar machines. I will cut and terminate the cables for SMC and USC machines and supply generic cables for others. Contact me for more specific model support.
At checkout please specify your intended application so I can cut the speaker cables to the correct length and supply you with the correct mounting brackets.
The remote kit is designed to upgrade the Seeburg remote model PRVC-2 by replacing the internal components inside the original plastic housing. You supply the original plastic remote housing.
Installation Skills
To install this kit you will need to be able to understand basic wiring, be able to get into your machine and potentially remove a 12″ speaker and attach wires to the back. There is no soldering required. No permanent modifications made to your jukebox. Generally you can leave the old wiring in place, except for the SMC bass wiring, you will need to pull the existing wires out with a string attached so you can pull the new wires through. For SMC machines you don’t need to remove the 12″ speaker because you can simply reach in through the front port and attach the new wires. For a band shell you have to remove one of the 12″ speakers that are behind the lower grill so you can attach the new wires to both woofers.
