Description
The SHP4 Amplifier Kit replaces the original rear volume control with a new assembly and you loose the option to use the original motorized remote control. I didn’t think it was wise to adapt the old motor to my volume because we can do it even better.
The solution is to rebuild your original remote with fresh new components that give you direct control over the volume, keep the reject functional, and do not affect the sound quality.
You will need to supply an original remote housing, I will supply the rest.
Assembly
With a clean and empty housing follow these steps:
- Disconnect the volume cable internally and route the cable out the rear of the machine.
- Connect the cable to the new board.
- Install the parts into the original housing.
- Screw it shut.
- Pop the new knob on the front.
